Account Manager

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

The Account Manager is responsible for assisting existing residential and B2B customers with completing quotes for individual projects.  Also, this role assists Territory Development Managers with completing quotes for new business development.  

Primarily completes business activities via telephone and marketing programs. Oversees the development of quotes and helps customers understand products, services, and how to begin engagement with the organization. Assists with giving showroom visitors a positive experience. 

Account Management

  • Delivers sales presentations and educates customers on company products and services.
  • Encourages prospective customers to send samples of products for demonstration of quality.
  • Forecasts sales activities and sets projections for new sales opportunities.
  • Meets or exceeds objectives for sales of products and services.
  • Negotiates with customers and closes sales opportunities.
  • Takes incoming sales calls, fulfills requests, and forwards technical calls to the team as needed.
  • Uses all reasonable methods to prospect new opportunities with customers on a daily basis, either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses.
  • Works with template, design, and installation teams to communicate customer requirements for the purpose of developing proposals.
  • Writes complete quotes and accurate sales data, secures specifications, and processes paperwork in accordance with company standards.

 

Customer Relationship Building

  • Assists customers in selecting/ordering products and services by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Oversees showroom traffic and assists customers as needed.
  • Delivers sales presentations and educates customers on company products and services.
  • Develops positive, long-term relationships with prospective customers.
  • Tracks relationship-building details and preferences about customers in CRM.

 

Information Management & Reporting

  • Utilizes Customer Relationship Management database (CRM) to maintain accurate account information and to track sales opportunities
  • Prepares and records in CRM call reports, listing who was called, what units were quoted, and other required information when applicable.
  • Assists with the development and tracking of prospective target sales and marketing lists.
  • Works with template, design, and installation teams to communicate customer requirements to develop proposals.
  • Collects accurate and complete financial data on customers when necessary.

 

Marketing Management

  • Identifies customer needs and trends and then provides feedback to sales, marketing and management teams for future product and service enhancements.
  • Follows up on marketing campaigns as required to generate leads.
  • Monitors, tracks, and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Retrieves internet and PR leads and follows up as sales process requires to inform and sell products and services.
  • Assists with gathering information and photos for marketing articles and newsletter.
  • Attends internal events and takes photos for marketing purposes.

 

Personal Development

  • Attends required and desired sales and training meetings.
  • Maintains current knowledge of product information, service information, and industry trends.
  • Studies product specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application.
  • Uses performance management tools to track individual development and achievements for performance dialogues.
